Nicolae Panaite[1], When mom was wiping…
When my mother wiped
the windows of the house,
they looked like large petals
of the queen of the night
bathed in light.
Silence took the form of
a white dolphin helping
the shipwrecked to reach shore…
I, together with the circle,
would go to the stone pit,
where my father made sure the grass
was always green;
when the cherry tree from
the right of my heart was blooming,
the horizon seemed to move above it.
Today, the hill has come closer to home:
it’s a sign that those who work unseen
are unsurpassed.
Some appearances
poke their heads out of the ground,
like flowers from the galanthus family,
sending their healing fragrance
on the snow foam…
Everything is like
a prayer seen…
Traian Ștef[2], The Figure
This figure is unknown to me,
until I found her, I was calm,
now I’m looking for her on the internet
to see what she really looks like.
And I keep searching in all the branches
and circumstances.
This search exasperates me,
the order I have to follow.
Each particle must be placed in its place,
in the fabric,
the knots tied,
the patterns formed.
And at night,
especially when everyone else is sleeping,
you work on the loom,
filling the threads,
first in your mind and
only then in front of everyone,
if you still have time
and if others are still interested.
Otherwise, I would just take it one step
at a time through the multitude of symbols.
And the acacia forest,
with its pink flowers,
of my friend further away,
which he just told me about.
How that forest was made from
a single acacia tree planted
as a fad of diversification.

I’m not ready
for the Great Poem yet.
I feel it…
As fishermen feel their caught fish,
leaving it at sea to tire,
so that later it itself asks
to be caught.
