And old Lixăndrina what, did she die?!…She didn’t die, but she’s green in the face!…I believe you! At how many diseases we have, there’s no point in knowing all their names. When a man dies, he dies, whether you know or don’t know his illness. Because what matters is that he died. And if you die, you’re not alive. Because if you’re alive, you move your legs, you say, you shout, but if you die, you shut up…Yes, Moromete also died, the writer saw him and smiled in his sleep at the end! Few details, that about the dead only what you remember. Now I’m reading the diary of the one who doesn’t name his annoying people and how unloved he is by people. So that people will give him awards, recognition, money, because he can’t stand loneliness anymore. And, at the edge of the forest, together with the autumn that has already come, you must contemplate and not throw garbage in the eyes of readers.
We were going towards the crayfish stream and that’s when I first saw the sow with her wild boar piglets. The big pig, with blood on it, was in the train station, lying on the stretcher of the electric car, ready to be sent to other parts of the world. And I saw it right there, where, once before, the man from the train station had sent me back, to return home. Because I had managed to walk to the Roșiori Train Station. They were scared of us, because they had just set out on the road, and we were scared of them. And after we stood still for a few moments, to see what they were doing, they turned left and re-entered the forest, the forest where, theoretically, but also practically, various monsters can exist. Some, in childhood, stay under the bed or hidden in the dark, others in the forest, in the water. Later you find out that they are called devils, not otherwise, and they are the source of your fears. And that you must trust in God in every moment of your life and stay strong, because He protects you from all evils.
Most often, you need the right screw at the right time. This one is smaller, the one I received in the package, but the 10 is just right, with a hexagonal head. And I also need nylon dowels for them[1], so I buy two pieces, for 6 lei, with a tax receipt. And on the same day, the same lady, she helped me fundamentally twice: the first time with the small drain connection, for 17 lei, because I had received a large one, much too large, in the package, then with the 6 lei ones. Because I went back to her, when I realized that the ones I received were too short. And without these, without some details, not insignificant at all, even though you have all the others, you cannot have a new toilet in your house, fresh, because it connects to the drainage network for 17 lei, and it is fixed in your floor for 6 lei, plus the hand screwing, after you have drilled the wall with noise and put the dowels. And when you can flush and you don’t feel a single drop anywhere, you can put the new lid on the new toilet, with two dolphins on it, because that’s how it ended up in the all-inclusive package. And when you feel that you’re sitting comfortably on your new toilet bowl and that you can rest there too, you check your phone for the latest things, write a few more lines, understand, pray in peace, rejoice, that the whole place is for understanding. And wherever you go, you are you, you are you completely, with everything you are and feel and want, and that’s what matters. But you must follow all the steps, connect all the pipes, all the wires, all the letters, so that the whole comes out. Because the whole never comes out by chance, but by putting your hand to work and being in motion.
I’m two chapters away from finishing translating the New Testament! But I have not translated all the New Testament books in the BYZ edition, which is why I will retranslate some of them, so that I have the complete byzantine edition. And what fulfillment, what peace, what holy joy, my God! Because when I started translating, I needed books to write my Dogmatics, but now the translation of the Divine Scripture has become a project in itself, a fundamental project of my life, which fulfills me enormously. And the benefits of its entry into my life are astonishingly great, because I have immersed myself in the simplicity and naturalness of speech, in the mysterious speech of God with us, in the boundless beauty of His holiness.
