I Believe, Lord, And Confess…

I believe, Lord, and confess that Thou indeed art Christ, the Son of the living God, Who camest into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. I also believe that this is indeed Thy Most Pure Body, and this Thy Holy Blood.

I therefore pray Thee to have mercy on me, and forgive me all my sins, voluntary and involuntary, by word, by deed, by knowledge, or by ignorance, and to grant me worthily  and blamelessly to partake of Thy Most Pure Sacrament, for the remission of sins and for life eternal.

Receive me this day, O, Son of God, as a partaker of Thy Last Supper. For not as a secret enemy I approach, not with the kiss of Judas, but like the thief  I confess Thee: Lord, remember me in Thy Kingdom!

And my the communion of  Thy Holy Sacrament be not to my judgment and condemnation, but to the healing of my soul and body.
